Definition (Summary)

Summary

These include clinical pathways or textbook summaries that integrate evidence-based information about specific clinical problems and provide regular updating.

Evidence-based, current clinical practice guidelines (CPGs), which are “systematically developed statements to assist practitioner and patient decisions about appropriate health care for specific clinical circumstances,” are also examples of “summary” level evidence.
