This is especially true of the leadership required in the education sector for Australia to compete in a knowledge economy. The Prime Minister, Ms Julia Gillard, herself has indicated that the high standards of leadership qualities expected of school principals, business leaders and community education providers must be developed if the assets of the business, community and education sectors are to be maximised, student results are to be improved and longer term productivity gains realised . These factors present an enterprise opportunity for collaboration between QELI: UQ and IH in the development and multimedia/innovative delivery of learning programs for educators, business leaders and community groups that are responsive to needs rather than delivery of pre packaged, one size fits all, branded program delivery . To expand upon this proposal it is requested that time be made available so that we may address this matter with you, I would be joined by a colleague, Mr Bill Brown.
