CONTEXT APPRECIATION PATTERN IDENTIFICATION Situation The Australia TradeCoast area incorporating the Brisbane Airport and Port of Brisbane predicts employment growing from 40,000 jobs in 2001 to between 64,000 and 104,000 jobs by 2026. with employment opportunities related to new terminal requiremments ,runway and road building retail & hospitality and aviation related opportunities. At tsame time , total population will grow from x to y Complication The large number of "clustered " SME's & large employers anticipate difficulty in upgrading skills of existing employees to accommodate a 13% turnover rate and securing an industry focussed career pathway for young people 15-24 from the local area. They need to sustain a "grow our own " demand driven success through synergy strategy aligned to Regional Development strategies. Due diligence analysis also indicates current VET offerings are not aligned to industry needs and there are significant shortfalls in training provision across competing private RTO'S and TAFE Colleges. Also, current public transport infrastructure is not focused on the areas where employment is located. Our solution The Trade Coast Enterprise Centre will act as the lead agency that will 1 Maximise the economies of scale required to determine the most appropriate qualifications to meet the needs of the Participating Employers; 2 Align training resources to demand driven specifications and 3 Faclitate the formation of sustainable networks and partnerships to balance demand and supply for this niche market., WHY ARE WE DOING THIS ?
