summary, summary by matthew silver, co-housing originated in 1914 in denmark, acm news, homes and cities, all in all i felt like i have gotten a lot out of this course. i have learned many new things, and computers interest me a lot more., proliferation of video cameras reduces street crimes, how to create cmaps, technocops, wired magazine, how to link cmaps, radar, the atom bomb computers and rockets are 4 significant technologies developed during wwii, inventing the future, i have learned various new facts in my cosc311 class. i have done research on many things, and they taught me a variety of information. first, i researched viruses. i learned about all of the possible virus threats, how to prevent them, and how to kill any one that your computer might be infected with. second, i researched security and privacy. i found that people love their security but hate to give up their privacy. it is almost impossible to please people. they want a lot of security, but they dont want to give up an privacy to make it happen. third, i researched u.s. government export controls. this was very interesting. i learned how the government controls what is going around on all of our computers. i also learned how they decide what is allowed and what isn't. fourth and finally, i rearches gps. i felt that this was the most interesting topic out of all of them. gps is a great and very usefull invention. it helps out people in so many different ways, from getting lost to just finding a certaion location, gps can just about do anything. i also learned that gps can be used on a golf course, which really fascinated me because i am a golfer. , various videos
